O. Gail Poole (1935-2013) was an untamed Oklahoma artist and (as yet) unheralded American master.
A natural maverick, Poole was eclectic and eschewed easy classification, shifting at will from Impressionism to Playful Modernism and all points in between, as capricious as the Oklahoma winds.
